You may already understand that the death of a beloved life companion is one of the most devastating losses one can ever face. For millions, it is far and away THE most devastating loss. Certainly the loss is awful too for sons and daughters who have lost a parent, grandparent or other loved one. There is no shortage of human tragedy on Earth.
In my case, it was the loss of a beloved life companion and devoted partner.
“God” and I had had a difference of opinion. I thought she ought to continue living, and “God” thought otherwise.
It was horrible. Nowhere have I read anything which I felt adequately conveyed in day-to-day detail the shock, the pain, sorrow, desolation, misery, loneliness, despair, isolation, and even the blurring of personal identity. Nothing that revealed, in compassionate, closeup human detail, just how devastating such a loss is. Nothing, that is, until this story.
